AIRSOFT FOR WOMAN OF WAR

It's not just a guys sport

We are often asked if airsoft is just a guy's sport. While the majority of airsoft players are men, it is definitely a sport women and girls can enjoy. It's easy to quickly dismiss airsoft as violent or dangerous, but that isn't true. Airsoft teaches women planning, strategy, skill, patience, and a reliance on your teammates like no other sport out there. Additionally, the safety equipment required for airsoft makes it very safe, and
airsoft BB hits are less painful than paintball. Many women who participate in this sport realize that it's great for both sexes. In fact, many of the women airsoft players surprise their male opponents as women tend to be very agile and stealthy; a serious advantage in airsoft skirmishes.

Many women who don't understand airsoft assume that it's some kind of violent battle between two teams that are just trying to blast each other with airsoft guns loaded with plastic BBs, but this isn't true at all. Whether it is men or women playing airsoft, most games are played around a scenario or objective that needs to be met. Careful planning is necessary amongst team members to capture a flag or objective without being shot or captured. All the while avoiding airsoft traps, ambushes, snipers, etc. Strategy and teamwork are of utmost importance as you work to move your team forward, or to set up someone from an opposing team. Many teams competing together week after week build solid communications and pull together as one unit. In this way, airsoft will teach that you are a valued member of a team. This type of camaraderie builds self-esteem and confidence.

Another benefit of Airsoft for women, is the development of true athleticism and physical endurance. Airsoft players will run, jump, duck, and whatever is necessary to outmaneuver the opponent. It's a great way to get physical exercise as opposed to running on a treadmill in the gym. Airsoft will work muscles you never knew you had. Airsoft will get you into shape quickly! This side of the airsoft skirmish appeals too many of its players, women and men alike.
So ladies, don't be quick to dismiss the sport of airsoft. If there's a nearby airsoft field or club, you can check out the facilities yourself. Some airsoft fields offer female airsoft teams and tournaments. Who knows, it may be something that the whole family or couples can enjoy together!

Such a great experience playing toys for the boys.Men says....You SHOULD NOT play Airsoft if you do not enjoy pain....i replied...i have lots of Pain now....and I am numb afterall!!!

Anyway, I won’t take you through the whole Airsoft experience. I’ll just tell you a few very, very important things:
* Anyone who tells you Airsoft pellets don’t hurt is crazy, nuts, has no pain receptors in his body, and is smoking pencil shavings.
* Airsoft. Pellets. HURT.
* The first time I got hit with an Airsoft pellet, I screamed, “I’m hit, I’m hit!
* Getting hit with an Airsoft pellet hurts so badly, for the first 25 seconds or so after getting hit, you can’t even believe it.
* Interestingly, after about a minute, when the sting subsides, you forget the pain and go right back out on the battlefield and start playing again.
* In that sense, Airsoft is very much like childbirth.
* Except the morning after childbirth, you don’t wake up with 39 welts and bruises all over your body.

LETTING GO

I have learned that we are like clay, that grows hard if not "worked." Often, we hang onto our past wounds, that may have been deep, or only a scratch onto our surface. Someone who is molding clay will fill the scratch or "wound" with some other clay, or use it as part of the growing piece as part of the finished product.

Some past events may change the shape of what we were planning, but WE are the ones that decide what effect they have on us. Life, like art, is in the process of getting in touch with our emotions, and sometimes, we have to take things that hurt, or are uncomfortable, and look at it as part of the growth of who are becoming.

We can learn and grow healthier in our sense of our true self, or we can continue to stay in the same vein of our hurt. One path leads to growth, the other to stagnation.

Just like pounding and molding clay into something beautiful, we can learn to look at our life as a journey to a beautiful end, instead of dwelling on the pounding, but also, if we leave clay alone, and never "work" with it, what happens? It dries up, cracks, and can't express what it's purpose was.

We have to look at the past honestly, forgive others and ourselves, and to learn from our past...
this is the work that sets us free.
